At TEF, there are many ways to connect, grow and serve.
Whether you are exploring faith, looking for community, or ready to use your gifts to serve, we invite you to find your place at TEF.
1. EXPLORE FAITH
Alpha Course
The Alpha Course is for everyone who wants to explore life’s big questions. It is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. No pressure. Free of charge. Alpha is a 12-week course, where participants meet once a week for meals, videos and open discussions.
There are also opportunities to serve in this ministry.
2. GROW & CONNECT
Thanksgiving Bible Study (TBS)
Thanksgiving Bible Study (TBS) meets on a weekly basis – to study, share, and pray in small groups. We have been meeting since 2014.
Our mission is in-depth Bible study producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word, and His Church. Our vision is to magnify God and build up His people.
Time: 7:30-9:00 PM, Mondays (September – May)
Blessed Hope Fellowship
The Blessed Hope (BH) Cell Group was formed in 2005 of mainly Asian Christians and currently meets on alternating Saturday evenings for worship, Bible studies, prayer, fellowship and dinner. The objectives mainly to provide Christians who work in Shanghai an opportunity to meet, exchange experiences, and uphold one another in faith and service.
The cell group members are actively serving in TEF and participate in outreach programs and mission activities.
Time: 4:00-7:00 PM, Every Other Saturday
Homebuilders Fellowship
The Homebuilders Fellowship focuses on some of the issues that families face in developing a Christ-centered home. Prior studies have focused on parenting and marriage.
Time: 5:00-8:00 PM, Every Other Saturday
NEW (Newly Engaged Wedded)
The NEW group was started for new couples who have just become engaged or have married. In the past year, the group has studied the Alpha Marriage course.
Time: 5:00-8:00 PM, Every Other Saturday
SOMA Pudong Group
SOMA comes from the Greek word sōma (σῶμα), meaning “body”. SOMA is a young adult fellowship where we grow together as the Body of Christ. We gather for worship, Bible study, fellowship, prayer, and food.

Time: 1:30-3:30 PM, Every Other Sunday, TEF SFT

SOMA Puxi Group
Living on the other side of the river? SOMA young adult fellowship now has meeting point in Puxi for dinner, fellowship, worship, Bible study and prayer.
Time: 7:00-9:30 PM, Tuesday & Thursdays
Knowing God (KG)
KG Youth’s goal is that every student (Grades 6-12) would Know God more.
Time: 6:00-8:30 PM, Fridays
K.E.P.T.
TEF’s children’s ministry is for children ages 3 through grade 5. We aim to help children grow in faith, build a strong foundation in God’s Word, and follow Christ in their everyday lives. “Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it. ” Proverbs 22:6 (NASB) .
Time: 4:00-5:05 PM, Sundays
3. CARE & SUPPORT
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry provides congregations with the training, resources, and ongoing support to organize and equip a team of lay caregivers – called Stephen Ministers – in the congregation.
Stephen Ministers provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care and support to people experiencing grief, divorce, cancer, job loss, loneliness, disability, relocation, and other life difficulties.

4. SERVE AT TEF
Sunday Fellowship Time (SFT)
Serve refreshments and create opportunities for fellowship after Sunday Service.
Nursery Ministry
Provide a safe and loving environment for children under 3 during Sunday service.
